Mr. Cooper founded New Orleans-based Strategic Resumes®, Career Coaching & Business Plans in 1994, with an office located in the historic Magazine Street District in New Orleans. Mr. Cooper is a Certified Advanced Resume Writer (CARW), Career Coach, LinkedIn Profile Writer, Business Plan Writer, and active member of several career industry associations.
In 1995, Mr. Cooper’s firm landed a groundbreaking nationwide contract to provide custom resume writing services under the Strategic Résumés® brand for 350+ Kinko’s copy center locations from coast to coast, employing up to 25+ writers and staff. Mr. Cooper and his team successfully managed the contract until FedEx acquired Kinko’s in the early 2000s.
In 2002, Mr. Cooper authored and marketed a first of its kind, nationally distributed Windows-based standalone software program with CD, Resume Critique Writer®, that was purchased by hundreds of 4-year universities, community colleges, U.S. military career centers, recruiters, and resume writing professionals throughout the U.S. & overseas.
Mr. Cooper is a consultant to recruiters, media reporters, corporations, and athletic programs, and has been featured/quoted in BS, NBC, ABC, and Fox networks and affiliates.
Mr. Cooper also prepares business plans that result in private investor, bank, and SBA funding. He has taught business plan writing at several national conferences. Clients have included start-ups in Healthcare, Fitness, Energy, Transportation, Construction, Retail, Food & Beverage, Hospitality, International Trade, Education, Automotive, Real Estate, Financial Services, Film, Social Media, and Organic Agriculture sectors. Mr. Cooper wrote a non-profit business plan that was funded by Brad Pitt.
