Adam is an accomplished resume writer, communications strategist, business advisor, and executive branding expert who has built his career around empowering current and future business leaders. With a unique blend of writing acumen, industry knowledge, and insight into hiring and recruiting practices, Adam has advised and assisted more than 2,000 professionals, helping them to secure executive leadership and corporate board service opportunities.
Currently, Adam serves as the Chief Writer and Communications Director of James Drury Partners, a premier corporate board advisory firm. In this role, he leads board profile development for BoardSelect clients, which includes many of the most accomplished Fortune 500 executives in the U.S. He is also responsible for overseeing strategic repositioning, brand alignment and engagement, and communications strategy for the company.
Prior to joining James Drury Partners, Adam built and led the Career Branding Services business at Vocamotive, Inc. As President of the Career Branding Division, he not only managed the thriving practice and its team of resume experts but also became one of the most sought-after resume and LinkedIn profile writers in the country. Adam has worked with elite business leaders across various industries, many of whom have gone on to become C-level executives of prestigious companies.
Adam is proud to have earned the Nationally Certified Resume Writer (NCRW) credential and is committed to advancing the resume writing and career branding industry by improving and evolving writing practices, mentoring junior writers, and advocating for the profession. He is an active member of the National Resume Writers Association (NRWA) and serves on its Board of Directors. He currently serves as NRWA Treasurer and is a member of the Executive Board.
A thought leader and industry expert, Adam is frequently called upon to speak and advise other organizations, sharing his expertise with universities, nonprofits, and business associations throughout the U.S. He has contributed to numerous publications, including magazines, journals, digital articles, and books. He has also been invited to provide his subject matter expertise through live engagements, including university lectures, radio shows, podcasts, and conference seminars.
Adam resides in the Chicago suburbs, where he balances his professional life with spending quality time with his toddler, Tessa, and his energetic dog, Gus.
