How I help
A career coach and 4x certified resume writer, I have provided 30+ years of caring academic, career, and life counsel in universities to students and new grads helping them select majors and career paths, write resumes and cover letters, find internships/jobs, dissect job postings, polish interview skills, and complete on-line job and graduate school applications. I have sat on President, Provost, Dean, VP, and Chair search committees and learned what an interview-winning CV looks like. Outside of the university, I consult with and write CVs/resumes for mid-level managers, C-suite executives, and higher education administrators, and am a consultant for 2 executive career development firms.
It was my honor to travel statewide to train MT Department of Labor staff and leadership, sharing expertise on resume/cover letter writing, career coaching, career pivots, ATS, and implicit bias in hiring via webinars for NACE, Resume Writing Academy, and Career Thought Leaders; Voice America guest presentations; AOLJobs featured interviews; conference presentations at NACADA, NRWA, CUPA-HR and CTL; and sharing samples of my work in top-selling books. Ten years ago, I was nominated by my peers to be a grader for the highest resume certification, the NCRW, and to join the Study Guide Commission.
