LEARN ABOUT NORINE AND HER ENDURING MISSION
I wrote my first resume in 1984. I had been a stay-at-home mom for 10 years, so I showcased every transferable skill and experience I could think of to launch my job search. That resume got me a job as an employment consultant at a workforce development center, assisting welfare-to-work clients and dislocated workers with their resumes.
Since those humble beginnings, I’ve learned from industry leaders, developed and taught dozens of resume training programs—not only for the NRWA, but also for national career services providers like Lee Hecht Harrison, CareerBuilder, and DeVry University—presented at multiple conferences, had resumes and cover letters published in dozens of books, and wrote tens of thousands of resumes and cover letters for job seekers at every level.
Which brings me to my mission.
I want every job seeker to benefit from having their resumes and cover letters written by well-trained writers who understand strategy and positioning, apply modern standards and best practices, and are as passionate as I am about writing quality. Writers who have attained the Nationally Certified Résumé Writer credential exemplify that and let job seekers know they have hired the best of the best.
Why I am excited about the NCRW Boot Camp.
Having trained and mentored countless numbers of resume writers over the years, I have found that sitting through a class is beneficial, but the true test is in how well you can apply what was taught. That’s why the Boot Camp is different.
With this unique course, you’ll move through the steps of creating a resume and cover letter from the first point of client contact through completion, see the various ways your classmates handle a project, receive feedback on your assignments, and have access to the instructor throughout the six weeks for custom support in completing your own client projects.
If you fully participate and give it your all, you too can claim the distinction of Nationally Certified Résumé Writer… and will help me achieve my mission!
