Donna Tucker, director of CareerPRO Resume Center in Phoenix is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) and a Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE) who has been part of the career services industry since 1988 after earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Joining the NRWA in 2003, she served previously as a member of the NRWA executive board for five years as treasurer, first vice president, and secretary, coming back after a break to serve as secretary 5 of the last 6 years. She serves on the Public Image Committee, the Professional Development Committee, and the Written Communication Committee. She has presented at the 2012 conference in Charleston and the virtual conference in 2020 and was selected for the Vivian Belen Award in 2008.
Donna is particularly proud to be a founding member (1995) of the Résumé Writers Council of Arizona (RWCA), serving as president for many years. Through collaborative leadership, RWCA strives to improve the quality of resume-writing in Arizona and encourages members to affiliate with the NRWA.
Over the many years in the career services industry, Donna has found that affiliation with these dedicated organizations is essential to business success—not only through professional development to keep up with best practices and industry trends but also through the continued support from and relationships with members.
Giving back to the community is extremely important to Donna, helping get the homeless back to work as a volunteer resume writer with the nonprofits St. Joseph the Worker and Shelters to Shutters and with Career Connectors nonprofit, offering support to the unemployed with resume reviews.
