As a career coach, I've offer caring academic, career, and life counsel in a university setting for 20+-years working with students/new grads to select academic majors, write strategic resumes/cover letters, target internships/jobs, dissect job postings, polish interview skills, and complete on-line applications. I've participated on search committees for Provost, Dean, VP, and Chair roles and can identify an interview-winning CV immediately. Ten years ago, I expanded my consulting and CV/resume writing to mid-level managers, C-suite executives, and higher education administrators, and began to consult on the side with executive career development firms.
As a career development consultant, I've trained Montana DOL (Job Service staff and leadership) statewide sharing my expertise in resume/cover letter writing, career consulting, career pivoting, ATS and implicit bias in hiring via webinars for NACE, Resume Writing Academy and Career Thought Leaders; Voice America guest presentations; AOLJobs featured interviews; conference presentations at NACADA, NRWA, CUPA-HR and CTL; and sharing samples of my work in top-selling books industry-wide.
